B is for Bon Voyage: London (tea time)

On our way back into town after our castle dalliance, we stopped at the British Library, home of the Gutenberg Bible and a very interesting "leaning tables". As a designer, it was really fun to see some of the early manuscripts that were more are than just words- the ornate illustrations are completely breathtaking.

After the library, we decided to stop at Kings Cross Station in order to locate the very infamous platform 9 and 3/4. We hunted... and searched... and looked... and hunted... and never did find it. Alas. As it turns out- there are two stations and we were in the incorrect one. After our searching and dashing about- we realized that it was time to leave for our tea appointment at the fan museum. This realization was followed by a second realization- that the fan museum was actually exceedingly far away, and that the majority of the tube line between us and it was closed for construction because it was Sunday.

Let's just say... we arrived late, after taking about 4 different trains and a taxi. They were very sweet and held our table for us- and boy was the tea GOOD. Love me some tea and snacks, particularly the clotted cream.

In between all of the being lost and extremely late, we snuck in a couple of photobooth photos, because what would a trick to London be without photobooth photos?

We eventually made our way back to the hotel to grab our things then scooted on over to our new hotel. You guys... it was incredible. The absolute BEST view ever. Points saving sister- you ROCK.
